October 29, 2021 "Prompting To Pee"

 I felt like I needed to use the bathroom, which was weird becuase it had only been twenty minutes since I had last gone. So I gave my phone to my companion and walked over to the bathroom. As soon as I was inside, I could tell that someone else was also there. 

You know that feeling you get, when it's too quiet for nothing to be there? Like there's barely a whisper of someone else, riding a windless air, BUT you KNOW there's someone there? Also, there was a stall in use.
So I sat down on the toilet and all of a sudden, the spirit speaks to me.
"Ask her if she's ok." He whispered. 
"What?" I mentally replied. 
"Ask her if she's ok."
"I'm on the toilet." I argued. "No one wants to be talked to when they are on the toilet. Besides, I don't even know who else is in the room."
"Ask her if she's ok." The Holy Spirit repeated.

"Hey, are you ok?" I asked aloud, breaking the silence of the room like someone had just dropped a mirror. As in, there had been a stillness in the air and now you were afraid of slicing your finger. 

"Yeah?" A sister's voice replied hesitantly. "I'm fine." 
Oh. A small part of me felt stupid, like maybe I had come up with that prompting all on my own.
"That's good. I just felt like I should ask."
"Who is this?" She asked. 
Great, now everyone is going to know that there's a crazy sister who talks to everyone when they're trying to pee.
I told her my name and she told me hers. And the room went quiet for a couple of moments.
"Ask her again." The Spirit said. This time I listened a little bit more quickly.

"Are you SURE you are ok?" I asked once again.
She paused, and I could hear her take a deep breath. Then she spoke, her voice quivering with emotion.
"No."

And then I was able to comfort her. And honestly, I didn't say anything magical or life changing. But she felt alone and the spirit led me to help.

Guys. GUYS.
I need everyone to listen.
I'm not trying to toot my horn. I'm not trying to say how awesome I am, because if you start looking for my flaws, you wouldn't be able to stop. BUT-
BUT-
Please pay attention. 
You ARE receiving revelation. Straight from God. Through the Holy Ghost. 
And you HAVE to act on it.
Throughout my mission, I've focused on listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit. I'm definitely not perfect in it. But, as I've been focusing on listening to His voice, I have seen miracles.
Guys, you SHOULD be seeing miracles EVERYDAY.
EVERYDAY. 
I REPEAT. EVERYDAY.
I challenge everyone to act. Act on the Holy Ghost and learn how He speaks to you. It will shape your life.

Also, we set two people on date this week as we followed the spirit.

Stay Holy everyone! Remember, Jesus loves you no matter what, and He loves you too much to let you remain like that.

  Hey everyone! Sorry it's been awhile. I moved into the Fontanelle apartments of North Omaha and it's been a wild ride. To catch you up: we moved into an area that hadn't had some success for awhile. Historically their relationship with missionaries, especially sisters, has been the worst in the mission. To top it off, we got bedbugs and I found out I was allergic to them just in time to be introduced to an apostle of the Lord. This week our apartments AC and washing machine broke so we've been living in front of our box fan and not touching the oven unless it's absolutely necessary. It's permanently about 84 degrees in our apartment right now. We had some crazy stories happen. One of the older sisters in our ward called us bawling and told us that her husband had cheated on her. May 9, 2022 "Baptism"

  Hey Guys! OK, I'm going to try to do my best to write a really good email.  We moved a LOT of people this week. It was a lot of fun but sometimes stressful because the people we were moving were very stressed.  A family in our ward let us try fresh unpasteurized milk straight from the cow. And it's absolutely delicious. I might be in love. They gave us a gallon of milk. Mother's day was a blast too!  Also, the highlight was Sonora's baptism. Sonora was someone that we've been teaching for awhile. She's incredibly sweet and has one of the most earnest desires to know the truth of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. We've spent several weeks and months helping to answer her questions and focus her attention on Jesus Christ and His restored gospel.  She was doing everything right- studying, praying, keeping the commandments, and having a genuine desire but for the longest time she didn't believe in the Book of mormon or modern prophets. May 2, 2022 "At A Hindu Temple"

  Hey guys! We had a pretty wild week. Transfers hit and Sister Waite was sent to Nebraska City. Sister Gessel (my new comp) and I have been getting along really well. We have been able to do a lot of service this week AND we presented a lecture on our church at a Hindu temple.
